Hype for the Future 145J: Sanpete and Sevier Counties, Utah

Overview Situated in the High Desert to the south of the Wasatch Front are the notable communities of Sanpete and Sevier Counties in the State of Utah. Perhaps the most notable of these communities is the City of Salina, home to the High Desert Inn, Miss Mary’s Historical Museum, and the CCC/POW Museum—all within the boundaries of Sevier County. Nearby communities within Sanpete County include, but are not limited to, Moroni, Manti, and Gunnison.

Was Morgenmuffel brauchen? Starken Kaffee und einen guten Grund, um in den Tag zu starten – etwa ein perfektes Frühstück. Im „Morgenmuffel Bread & Bar“ in der Kameruner Straße bekommt man beides. Kein Zufall, dass einer der Betreiber, Burak, gleich um die Ecke einen Späti führt. „Da weiß ich morgens Koffein zu schätzen“, sagt er lachend. Gemeinsam mit seinem Cousin Charly, ebenfalls im Afrikanischen Viertel aufgewachsen, hat er den früheren Biomarkt an der Ecke in monatelanger Eigenarbeit umgebaut – die Nachbarschaft hat das neugierig begleitet. Denn ein solcher Ort hat dem Kiez bislang gefehlt.
