Je me permets d'intervenir après avoir vu cette conversation, lu les articles de @Lucieronfaut et les réactions car je note que, pour un mec, "râler" parce qu'une femme ne dit pas "correctement" X sur le sujet du féminisme, c'est typiquement le genre de réaction plus contre-productive qu'autre chose. #Mansplain diront certaines. Déso.

Par ailleurs, si on va lire les sources, je trouve le propos de Lucie assez clair et sans ambigüité ni décalage par rapport à la recherche contemporaine.

@Pheebe This is one of the few benefits of being the organiser, or as I am at Finham, The Man With All The Tools And Spare Parts. I only actually fix things if I want to. This is because most of my time is spent finding tools for fixers, finding parts for fixers or giving fixers the benefit of my advice, whether they asked for it or not. 🙂

Honestly, I don't get why some men feel the need to #mansplain things. Like over on Quora I was explaining Dhampires according to #vampire #folklore & I had two men pop into the comments trying to say I was wrong and using Twilight & The Vampire Diaries as the basis for their mansplaining. Dudes, I was using ACTUAL FOLKLORE! Not poorly written young adult bullshit.

Do we know what caused this #Jezebel writer to form such a negative experience of #Mastodon?

I mean, I’m aware of the irony of appearing to “well, actually” the woman complaining of too much “well, actually”-ism but it hasn’t been my experience. It’s not clear which instance she joined or which hashtags she followed.
