I always disliked #MarkTwain or at least thought I did.
I hate #narcissists and #manipulators and he always seemed very high on those two traits.
What I just found out is that in his later years he was very #cynical, to the point of #mocking all of the #Abrahamic #religions! This is after god creates earth:

"Another athlete mysteriously died... was it the #vaccine?" - you might have seen this before.
Media #manipulators constantly hunt for unexplained anomalies they can leverage for furthering their self-serving narratives.
This works because our brains do not deal well with #uncertainty; we tend to overfit unexplained datapoints into stories offered by others.
However, anomalies (fake or real) are just exceptional #anecdotes and almost always irrelevant to a #scientific #consensus on a topic.

A #pitch: Automatic design of custom #robots and #manipulators assisted by #chatbots
It is possible today to painstakingly code a simulator environment and a reinforcement learning optimizer to design very optimal robotics such as walkers which are e.g. versatile, cheap to #3DPrint and robust.
The simulator and the reinforcement learning optimizer are heavily domain specific and so we haven't been able to scale up the process of designing optimal #robotics to all use cases.
We can put up a large language model chatbot #agent to a task of iteratively building challenging environments which incorporate the salient aspects of the domain, whether it is about limpets growing on a marine ship hull, or huge mountains of grease aggregated in sewers.
These have already been done for automatic generation of game environments, interior design and such things.
The chatbot is also able to design scoring for such reinforcement learning tasks, and thus we could have an automatic way of designing cheap and optimal robotics roughly in the following process:

This will end badly.
