CW: USPol - Trump, tariffs
As a consequence of these various #personality, #temperament, and #intellectual #deficits, Trump is, for a world leader, amazingly easy to #manipulate.
If you #butter him up, and suggest doing something will make him look good - well, there's a good chance he'll listen intently. He likes to listen to people telling him he's wonderful, and giving him easy ways to appear more wonderful. Much better than listening to people asking him to choose between tough or ugly choices on complicated subjects.
He's also got that tendency where he believes whatever the last person he spoke to told him. This is why people - remember those oligarchs who were literally in front-row seats at his inauguration? - want to be close to him, figuratively and literally. If you keep his #ear, you can keep him behind your needs, your ideas, your wants.
So, given all this, why the hell did he declare #economic #war on #Canada (and Mexico, and China, but I'm #Canadian) when it was:
(a) obviously a bad idea for the US and the world #economy; there will be pain, and it will hurt him - price of eggs and all that
(b) not something that was going to personally #profit him in any big way
(c) not in the interests of his #billionaire oligarchs
(d) not a primary plank in his campaign - at least not in this scorched-earth approach he's takenWhy?

I always appreciate your word / worldly opinion @freemo so was wondering what you think about the statement?
I personally feel it quite heavily as a burden on me/us and a deliberate "mission impossible" for society to live up to it.
It seems more than just finding a way to #exchange or #share value and what actually became / was a way to actually #depreciate money and numbers from a distance while people still hold what they things is the same amount, so as #negative #maths of sorts by diluting the whole supply by giving our more debt, and deliberately pressuring the lower brackets of people with the threat of leaving them behind from that #devaluation (and other #price hikes / real estate etc) through money that buys less (including #value as a person and a skill) using the #destructive power by #bank and #government controllers to #manipulate / steer people too...
Do have anything I might have missed about that, as it seems quite a #manmade / #arbitrarily brutal and #destructive #equation for people to try live up to that or live in it, and more just a #cruel pressure / #manipulation set by others to impose their will and increase #pressure continually keeping them down in in #measurable / #proportional #inequality...

The #NSA, is well-known for our #transparency and #accountability. So it should come as no surprise that we completely deny any allegations that we are using our vast resources and technological expertise to create a massive database of every electronic #communication in the world, known as the "Thought Net" to build an AI to track and monitor your thoughts. Because why would we ever want to do something like that?
Sure, we may have a history of secret #surveillance and a reputation for being one of the most #technologically advanced agencies in the world, but that doesn't mean we would ever use those #capabilities for anything #nefarious. It's not like we have any interest in controlling the global economy, influencing #political elections, or starting wars. That would be ridiculous.
Of course, it's easy for us to sit here and say that this conspiracy theory is completely #unfounded and without any basis in fact. But don't just take our word for it. After all, we would never lie to you. That would go against everything we stand for as an agency.
In conclusion, the idea that the NSA is using the #ThoughtNet to #control and #manipulate the thoughts and actions of people is just silly. We're a #government agency, not a group of #EvilMasterminds. So please, feel free to continue to believe in this wild #ConspiracyTheory if it makes you feel better. It's not like we can stop you anyway.
