Regardless of #Manhunter (1986) or #RedDragon (2002), I love the scenes of the Feds racing against time to study/analyse the fan mail from Tooth Fairy to Hannibal Lecter.
Both movies have scenes/details that made theirs better. Manhunter presented the time-urgency better, while Red Dragon made Lecter looks smarter.
I love how Red Dragon reduced the characters (each having their own speciality) and replaced them with one very smart Asian.

Early hours of the morning and we saw that the end of Manhunter was on one of the channels. Such a very, very good film, so fantastically directed by Michael Mann, and Tom Noonan and William Petersen are fabulous in the main roles. We, of course, had to watch the final scene with the great shoot-out choreography to Iron Butterfly. It's movie law.
