#mangaichiba — Public Fediverse posts

I brought 24ish of my main debut books and I did not sell out. I did sell over 10, my initial planned amount. And if you think about it that is really impressive to have sold so many books of original/nonexistent Fandom based on story/cool art alone on a Boys LOVE day. I'm so grateful to everybody. #mangaIchiba #Fanime #indieComics

Also I got knighted by the Yaoi Church. YAMEN. #mangaIchiba #Fanime

Whether my story brought hope and inspired girlies to be confident with their inner self, whether it felt human or maybe the art was just cool. Or even if you just wanted a t ak froor m the 99% BL (I'm sorry you feel that way my guy but fujoshis carried this event). I'm so touched to see my work reach others in ways I didn't expect. Am I embarrassed? Always. But when I see the variety of readers who resonate with my stories I feel that is a small price to pay #mangaIchiba #Fanime #indieComics

Happy New Year!

I have exciting news to share. I was accepted into Manga Ichiba at Fanime this year, the first-ever doujinshi-focused ("indie fan comics") event for NA.

I applied with "The Harbinger's Path," and I'm pleased to announce I will be self-publishing a very limited print run of my "Trahearne-Malyck doujinshi" comic for this event.

It will include all 3 completed chapters (50+ pages), and I hope to also add some bonus material for this print version. (More about this to come.)

If you'd like to learn more, I'll have more info to share through email updates. You can receive them by joining here: https://landylachs.com/updates

I'll also post an overview in a reply thread here, to try and not have this post be longer than it already is!

This is exciting to see - a doujin event specifically for encouraging ENG-created doujin in NA!

Link to their page with more info: https://www.fanime.com/exhibits/the-oasis/manga-ichiba/

It's called "Manga Ichiba," and is affiliated with Fanime. It debuts next May, during Fanime 2026. They say this is the first NA event of this kind, created specifically to support NA doujin creators. Their aim is cultivating doujin culture in NA, in a similar way it's flourished in Japan for decades.

Check it out, and if you are an NA doujin artist yourself, consider applying! I believe applications are open from now until the end of this month (Nov 2025).

It's also exciting for me to see an event like this, because I've always thought of "The Harbinger's Path" as my "Trahearne and Malyck doujin." I even tagged early posts about the comic with "doujinshi."

But I wondered if people seeing my posts knew what doujinshi even was, because I don't see the term used often (though that may be due to wherever I've landed in online communities/feeds).

I would LOVE if doujinshi became a more commonly-known and supported community in NA, because I love seeing people creating stories out of their passion and love for fandom or their own original stories.
