Exhibiting the 3D lighting up #mandalas outside in daylight doesn't work. I improvised a box to show how they look in the dark. I may have to make a proper one at some point, but this box will do the trick for now.

VERANO 2026 – Manualidades de Mandalas: Actividades Veraniegas para Niños

Para pintar mandalas de verano con niños, lo ideal es elegir diseños con motivos estivales (como soles, playas o animales marinos), usar paletas de colores vibrantes y aplicar técnicas divertidas adaptadas a su edad. Pintar mandalas ayuda a los más pequeños a mejorar la motricidad fina, fomenta la paciencia y estimula su creatividad durante las vacaciones escolares.

1. Elegir la temática veraniega

Busca o dibuja plantillas que capten la esencia de la temporada:

El Sol: Círculos centrales con rayos repetitivos.
Elementos del mar: Diseños con estrellas de mar, conchas, olas y peces.
Naturaleza tropical: Flores grandes, palmeras, mariposas y frutas frescas como la sandía.

2. Seleccionar la paleta de colores del verano

Usa los colores para transmitir la energía de esta época del año:

Tonos cálidos: Amarillos, naranjas y rojos para representar el sol y el calor.
Tonos refrescantes: Turquesa, azul marino y celeste para el agua y el cielo.
Tonos alegres: Verdes brillantes para la naturaleza y fucsias o lilas para las flores exóticas.

3. Técnicas divertidas para niños

Dependiendo de la edad y del material que tengas en casa, puedes probar diferentes métodos:

Lápices de colores con degradados: Enseña a los niños a apretar más el lápiz en los bordes de cada sección y pintar más suave hacia el centro para dar volumen.
Rotuladores e iluminación: Los rotuladores brillantes o escolares son perfectos para hacer retos como el 3 Marker Challenge (pintar el mandala eligiendo solo tres colores al azar).
Efecto acuarela: Si usas papel grueso, los lápices acuarelables permiten pintar en seco y luego pasar un pincel húmedo para esparcir el color mágicamente.
Puntillismo con bastoncillos: Sumergir la punta de un bastoncillo de algodón en pintura acrílica o témpera y rellenar el mandala a base de puntos simétricos.

4. Mantener la regla de la simetría [

El secreto de un mandala es el equilibrio. Explica a los niños que si pintan un pétalo de color azul, todos los pétalos que forman esa misma ronda o círculo exterior también deberían ir de color azul. Pueden elegir pintar:

De dentro hacia fuera: Ideal si quieren expresar o exteriorizar sus emociones.
De fuera hacia dentro: Recomendado para relajarse, calmarse y centrar la atención.

I’ve taken the pieces down today, and it’s great to see that my vinyl artwork continues to be so well received.

While my 3D mandalas offer a strong visual impact with a full spectrum of colours, they remain quite niche and perhaps less suited to brighter spaces.
