Nobody is asking you to break the law. Nobody is implying that you even hypothetically _might_ break the law. But we _are_ trying to make it clear that you can always not break the law in a way that clearly communicates how stupid the law is and how little interest you have in complying with the spirit of the law, or with anything more than the bare minimum that the letter of the law requires.
People have been half-assing compliance for as long as compliance has been a thing. Do some research, talk to a lawyer, and then build only the half of the ass necessary to keep lawsuits off your back.

For the Americans who might not understand, cheques are not really a thing in most of Europe and have not been in a very long time, even less so in a foreign currency.
This is just so Amazon can say, "We tried, it is not our fault those communist Europeans do not take our Freedom money" to the FTC.
They never had any intention of paying anyone in Europe, hence #MaliciousCompliance

I have begun #MaliciousCompliance. The guy wants to make sure everything looks good? I'm going to ask him about every damn thing I can. I'm going to stack stuff up waiting for him to look at it. Because fuck this.
Also I really want to write, not be a manager anymore. This is a small problem, because only one of these things will pay the bills. But maybe I'll make Mr Looks so annoyed they'll fire me and then I won't have a choice!

Have I misunderstood the #Australia #SocialMediaBan? If it is *accounts* not *access* which is age-gated, surely platforms can just change their apps to carry on working without the user logging in to the account? They can easily reidentify users by device fingerprinting so 90% of functionality will remain, including pseudonymous comments/reactions if they chose to allow. (Think 'Anonymous Gopher' etc. when Google Docs are shared with non-Google users) The scope for #MaliciousCompliance is huge
