Malaysia is set to become the first Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) host to implement the World Anti-Doping Code at the 34th edition next year.
President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) Mohamad Norza Zakaria stated at a press conference on April 8 that the adoption of the code aims to ensure that the 2027 SEA Games fully comply with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) standards, thereby enhancing the transparency and international standing of the Games.
Malaysia’s proposal was approved at the first meeting of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) for the 2025-2027 period, held on the same day.
The World Anti-Doping Code, first adopted in 2004, serves as the foundation for harmonizing policies, regulations, and activities to combat doping among sports organizations and authorities worldwide.

The daily #MyCity Pass gets a slight price hike for #Malaysian users
Starting 8th March 2024, the MyCity Pass will cost RM6 per day for #Malaysians
The price for 3-day MyCity pass for locals remain unchanged at RM15 for 3-days
#RapidKL has also reintroduced the MyCity pass for #NonMalaysian users in anticipation of more international #tourists
#NonMalaysians can get the MyCity Pass at RM10 for one-day or RM25 for 3-days

#KTMB has announced a standardised RM5 one-way fare for the #rail service which plies between #JBSentral and #Woodlands beginning Aug 1
At present, commuters pay RM5 for a ticket from JB Sentral to Woodlands, but pay S$5 (RM22.50) when they travel from Woodlands to JB Sentral
The new fare of a RM10 round trip will only apply to Malaysians

It's cool to see a non-Malaysian interview #Malaysians about this. Though saying we speak 5-7 languages is a stretch lol. The average is more like 2-4, and it depends on what location, race & education. In Penang it's easier to find trilingual folks, for eg. There are some people who only speak ONE language, but they have to usually add another to improve their work opportunities in Malaysia.

The current price for a one-way #ticket from #JohorBaru to #Woodlands, #Singapore is RM5, while the ticket for the return trip is S$5 (RM17.30), and KTMB had proposed a change to eliminate this difference in #fares.

My friend got #Covid and went to the government clinic to get #Paxlovid.
Guess how much she paid for the meds?
ZERO.
The doc also gave her 6 month supply of blood pressure meds. She had to pay for that, however.

Universal healthcare is wonderful and I am glad #Malaysians have it. -

I know cultural appropriation is a biggie in the #UnitedStates
But as a person who comes from a country where people happily culturally appropriates from each other, and who descended from who people who culturally appropriated & married into British, Chinese and Malay culture ... I never understood the rage around it in the US.
