Joost #Vullings probeerde het weer eens. Je mag het geen #fascisme noemen, de pvv , de republikeinen, trump. Gelukkig kent Geert #Mak zijn geschiedenislessen en pappenheimers. Volk als Vullings hebben jaren zonder weerwoord of doorvragen het fascisme weer #salonfahig gemaakt. Wat doet die man daar nog, journalist van lik me vessie. #buitenhof

Some two decades ago I read "In #Europe - Travels Through the Twentieth Century." by Geert #Mak - I felt much of what he described; especially about the Baltic countries, Poland and Europe being "united" and forward thinking. The spirit he described I saw during my travels and felt through my friends, who grew up in the Warsaw pact block.
Now I'm reading his follow-up (published in 2022) "Great Expectations: On the Trail of the European Dream" and even the first 50 pages are very striking. I feel trapped and have to silently admit he's right. Many of those dreams are nothing but dead.

Jedno zdjęcie z wczorajszego wypadu z dzieciaki na rowery. Znaczy - oni na rowerach a ja piechotką. Niestety przez tę pogodę złapał mnie jesienny klimat, szykują jednak wpis na fotobloga #trzecieokostaszczuk na którym będzie też kila bardziej kolorowych zdjęć ;)

Die Stadt #Wien hat beim #MAK neu asphaltiert. Sehr gut.
Und dann hat die Stadt Wien dort den gleichen viel zu schmalen Radstreifen wieder aufgepinselt. Eine klare Verschlechterung für den #radverkehr , aber Hauptsache die Parkspur kann bleben...
An dieser Stelle muss man ziemlich reintreten um die Ampel bei der Angewandten zu erwischen und das wissen und tun die Radfahrenden dort auch. Und das ist verdammt unangenehm.

Heute war ich im #mak in #wien und war total geflasht von den Ausstellungen.
Aber zwischendurch sass ich kurz in der riesigen Empfangshalle. Hatte ein mittelgroßes Down mit Atempause und musste mich kurz halten.
Gegenüber, ca 30m entfernt, war der Ticketschalter.
Der Diensthabende sah das, fragte sofort nach ob alles ok, und organisierte mir Wasser, damit ich mich wieder in Ruhe fangen konnte.
