CW: Soiled things before cleaning
They say to wipe the washing machine door gasket after every wash, and clean filters, tub every month. This is a gasket after four years of near continuous use with “appropriate maintenance”, next to a brand new replacement.
But don’t worry, I’m sure you don’t have this gunk right next to your “clean” clothes in your front load washer.
