Der Kleingarten-Verein der Liebsten hat das übliche Problem: Mails vom VPS werden öfters mal von Microsoft und jetzt auch T-Online abgewiesen.
Erst meckerte MS wegen der Netcup-IP, nun motzt T-Online wegen IONOS. Aktuell läuft der Datenverkehr über Wireguard Netcup -> IONOS.
Hat wer von Euch eine Empfehlung für ein brauchbares Mail-Relay?
Verein ohne kommerziellen Background, daher gerne so günstig wie möglich. Ist #Mailjet empfehlenswert? Eine Fußzeile mit Werbung wäre akzeptabel.

Moving away from #mailchimp for the community project I run and want something Europe based.. looking at #Brevo #Mailjet which both look fine and free versions will be more than enough for our needs..but just spotted #Systeme too which has email marketing but many other features which may be useful in the future. Any thoughts or comments from people using any of these. Only need it for general sporadic emails to our business and community supporters about events and news for now .. but may want to sell things like seeds, plants, recipe books, upcycled fabric things at some time in the future. #UkCharity #nonprofit #communitybusiness

One of the nicer things about changing my personal site hosting was that it forced me into setting up a proper mailer API to handle mail sent from wordpress. I ended up using a free account with Mailjet.
Previously for my sites when the internal PHP mail() stopped working, I turned to using a wordpress plugin that allowed me to use my ISPs authenticated SMTP to handle wordpress mail. I was recently made aware by someone that my contact form was broken again because my ISP decided to discontinue that service without any notification.
The happy side effect is I l really like getting emails from my #wordpress saying its updated itself and what it updated.

Damn it I hate setting up #email shit. My #Mattermost server was setup and working fine with #MailJet. I haven't changed anything. Now it times out trying to establish a connection to mailjet. Wtf?

I hate email. I am sure I'm probably missing/forgetting something dumb here, but for the life of me I cannot get a new #Mattermost server to connect via #SMTP to #MailJet. It feels like I have everything setup correctly, but I can't get a successful connection with the test button no matter what I put in the SMTP settings.
Edit: Fixed. was missing some email settings in another section of the control panel that were required for the SMTP settings to connect properly.

Would any of y'all happen to have any insight as to why #Mailjet is telling me to add a TXT DNS Record for DKIM that requires the Host field to have a period at the end, but #Squarespace feels this is an invalid #DNS record and refuses to allow me to save it unless I remove the period. But then Squarespace doesn't seem to detect it with the period not there. I've sent a support email to Squarespace, but they haven't responded yet. This is driving me mad.

Zo, "even" een lazy mode toegevoegd aan de JSON-parser... omdat #Mailjet soms ineens maar gewoon OOK alle inactive contacten teruggeeft en de REST-response daardoor wel wat erg groot wordt en daardoor onnodig veel heap gebruikt. ;-)

Ok, #exim can email me again. Just had to clear its retry database because it gave up sending everything. Guess it took a while for it to be able to run again even after clearing it, maybe #Mailjet or #Microsoft blocked me for a time, not sure. If you run into this, make sure you don't have #logwatch emailing you at the server's local mailbox and a remote mailbox in the cron.daily file for it at the same time, then clear the retry queue for #exim4. Then wait a few hours.

I've finally gotten emails to be sent from my server to myself via #exim4, a smarthost configuration, and #swaks. This page worked for me on #Mailjet, but Outlook is moving my emails to junk. I've said it's not junk, but it hasn't caught on yet. Did have to have logwatch's cron.daily thing run swaks since I can't seem to get #logwatch to email myself with my own email address properly. I had to think a lot on what to do, but this link should mostly help.

I'm trying to get exim4 configured so it sends me log emails through Mailjet but I just can't figure out why sending an email hangs at pressing Enter when it asks for a CC and Mailjet's documentation isn't helpful at all. No log output telling me what's wrong, either.

@pascaline @spamhaus @freedominternet Het zou nog netter zijn als #Mailjet die "contacten" helmaal niet zou aanmaken. Maar helaas hebben ze daar geen instelling voor. Wel waren er instellingen om de view- en click-tracking aan en uit te zetten. En die staan nu uiteraard op uit. 😜
En de API functie die ik gebruik om ze weer te verwijderen noemen ze zelf de GDPR-delete dus dat lijkt me dan ook wel afdoende.

Gisteren dan maar een SMTP-relay ingericht bij #Mailjet en nu loopt het weer. Mocht iemand iets gemist hebben nemen even contact op met @okaphone dat zorgen we ervoor dat het alsnog goed komt.
En #Spamhaus toch ook maar uitgelegd waarom ik vind dat ze niet goed bezig zijn:

Had the opportunity to play with the #Laravel Mail Facade and #Mailjet today at work. Didn’t do any mail stuff via #PHP for many MANY years now. It’s just satisfying how easy and seemless everything works.
Every time I dig deeper into Laravel it gets better and better. I'm glad I decided to go Full Stack again. I loved my years as a main frontend dev, but I feel much more complete when I can do and control every step.
I still love to chat with the backend devs at work about backend stuff and I have so much more to learn. 😍
I'm really glad my workplace enables stuff like that. In other companies, my abilities were always rather limited from above.

I still don't get how some services forbid me to use "standard" special characters. Like sorry but my password generator did that and it ain't no "hidden" space in there. And even if: You shouldn't care about my well-done security.
I don't get it.
