About the mailfence issue. Uh. I actually got a response. They asked for my IP (ofc they need to know what it is to unblock me, and I contacted official support so ik it's not a scam) but like is it worth the trouble? I'd feel bad not responding since I actually got a reply >.<

Just typed up a short and sweet business (but not too formal to be mistaken for a bot) email to mailfence support and I'm so tempted to put a passive aggressive "If you don't unban my IP I can always use something else, don't forget you're replaceable! :33" at the end
But I won't. Probably

I'm so annoyed, does anyone else use mailfence? 😭😭
It hasn't worked for the past twelve fucking hours. I've tried everything and looked everywhere, but NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT. It's not on downdetector, all the status reports say everything is fine but CLEARLY NOT BECAUSE THE SITE WON'T EVEN LOAD
If anyone has advice I'd appreciate it 🫠

- My Synology is used for calendar, contacts, tasks, file sharing, photos, movies and music.
- I use Synology basic for calendar, contacts, tasks and file sharing
- I use Synology Photos for photos. It's not super smooth but it works
- I use #Jellyfin for movies and music. For movies, it's OK. For music, it is quite slow and the lack of star rating annoys me. I'm considering #Navidrome -

So finally I decided to deskyfy my tech. I am thinking about /e/OS for my mobile phone and Linux Mint with Cinnamon for my laptop. Onlyoffice will replace MSOffice, nextcloud will be my next GDrive. But I am not sure on how to replace my Gmail. Any thoughts? Protón could be an option, but It hasnt SMTP support to sabe mails in my nextcloud. Tutanote or mailfence may work, but still under assessment. #opensource #mail #tutanote #proton #mailfence

On September 1st we migrated email and calendar from Outlook to #mailfence
There were no major hickups and user complaints have been minimal. Of course change is always hard, but we are happy with our new email solution hosted in #belgium #europe

@thibaultamartin I'm most probably much less skilled than you are, and I can already say that my first #selfhosted deployments on a #raspberrypi and a #VPS were already too much. Resilience and scalability are sooo underrated!
I just gave up on the VPS and the #pihole
I'm even considering to move away from my #synology #NAS and use a "clean" cloud service. Drive, photos backup, contacts/calendar/tasks (but my mail being on #mailfence, I could already have those 3 on my current subscription).
I would be grateful to hear your suggestions about that live, and about decent service that could help me.
