Appointing someone with no academic knowledge of the subject in hand, no history of even commenting on economic and fiscal policy does absolutely nothing to advance the progress of women of colour in this country…it does the exact opposite.
Which is again, why I fear #Mahmood ‘s appointment as Chancellor will be a disaster for most people in the UK.
We have to ask, who is it who either sees her as malleable and compliant or who has an interest in seeing her fail?
