  1. #Celtic #FolkloreThursday: #Ogma mac Elathan, son of Delbaeth, is according to #Irish tradition the inventor of the #Ogham script. This `Son of Art` was not only extremely famous in the art of speech and poetry, but also an athletic `trénḟer`, a `power man`. In the battle of #MagTuired he fought on the side of the #TuathaDéDanann against #Bres and his #Fomorians.

  2. #Nuada, king of the #TuathaDéDanann when they first came to #Ireland, lost his arm in the first battle of #MagTuired and hence, he lost the kingship. #Credne, the #Celtic bronze smith, made a prosthesis of silver, which #Diancecht so skilfully attached that #Nuada had a fully functional arm again. Hence he was called Nuada Argat-lamh, of the Silver Hand, for ever after.
