#PhysicsQuestion: in "A Brief History of Time," Hawking describes how matter particles emit force particles, the recoil changing their directory and the impact changing their target's. This makes sense for repulsive forces, but how does that translate to attractive forces?

Do you understand how #RF and #magnetics work? Any time I check out Sam Aldhaher's visualizations, I do just a bit better. We spoke on The Amp Hour this week about how to get started in #blender and build out visualizations using tools like #openems and #elmer_fem.

This episode was similar to the one I recorded with Katerina Galitskaya last year, who also does amazing visualizations. It's just SO useful to have people explaining RF with math and 3D models!

People who study #magnetics, #Electromagnetics, and/or #bioelectromagnetics, is a microgauss and a milligauss the same thing? Would it be possible to create a disk of 0.5 inches in diameter and 0.25 inches thick with a magnetic field strength of 37.4 microgauss? In researching my measurements, this seems like a really weak magnet, but I also know that the smaller units (not sure if it's micro or milligauss) is used somehow in regards to body tissues... There's a link here I'm trying to figure out, and I don't have enough info yet.
