There have a vertical linearity issue on this CRT I picked up last weekend. It's a Magnavox "Computer Monitor 80" with no model # on the case anywhere, but I believe it's a Philips BM7500-series, or so.
(See the bottom 3-4 lines of text vs the rest of the text on screen - vertically squished.)

Can anyone tell from the schematic if there is a V.LIN pot on the board somewhere that I would find upon opening the unit? I'd like to get it adjusted and use it.
If it's a caps issue, I wonder how many would need to be replaced to get it back to snuff? This display was manufactured in late 1986.

Today I drove behind a Goodwill (and didn't even go in) and a (Phillips) Magnavox CRT from the 90s or early 2000s was sitting by the trash since Goodwill doesn't take a lot of older TVs. So I grabbed it, as I often do if I find one. I love CRTs, and they aren't around much anymore. I'll get a pic before and after if I test it and it works.

Found but did not buy this Magnavox laser disk player. At $50 a bit too much of a risk. Could go for $200 on eBay in working order but the thing weighs a ton and would probably cost $60 just to ship. eBay fees would eat up any profit real quick.

Yesterday I taught "#VideoGames of the 70s" to the #GameDesign students of my #GameHistory seminar with the help of some real machinery from back in the day: #Atari #Pong, #BreakOut (both #TTL boards from the original #arcade machines), Atari #VCS (with a 7800 to also show the successor), a MBO #Vectrex (for showing the difference of #pixel vs. #vector graphics), a typical "Home Pong" console, a #Magnavox #Odyssey and some more. I even managed to find enough #CRT displays for each machine. (1/2)

Old Philips Odyssey 2100 needed to check if it still worked before selling. No power supply, couldn't find any info online. So I opened it, checked the polarity (C+) with a multimeter, looked up the info on the voltage regulator, LM342P-12 online. Can handle up to 19V on the input with 12V on the output. Couldn't tune to get a good picture on a 10 year old samsung lcd TV, but works fine on the old B&O CRT.
