A fun 7-minute watch if you like #RugbyLeague (I think that's about eight of us here on Mastodon) or know anything about the World's Strongest Man competitions and the Stoltman brothers, Luke and Tom (even fewer). The pair were invited to the recent #MagicWeekend and each supported a different team in the Wigan/Warrington match, having never watched the sport before.

Castleford 8 Wakefield 32 to finish off Magic Weekend, and today's games have all been fabulous to watch. Trinity were so dominant over the Tigers. Wonderful stuff.

Fun watching #MagicWeekend on TV and everyone in their hats, coats, and scarves in the stands. We went to a couple of Magic Weekends at St James' Park and the stadium funnelled the cold wind but we're southerners. We thought northerners were supposed to be tough.

Well, the first half of Huddersfield and Hull ends up with twelve players against eleven and you have to wonder what it'll be by the end of the game. Feisty. If you're a fan of shoulder charges into heads then you'd like this game.

A closer game than the 17-4 scoreline might suggest, and an entertaining match to finish off day one of Magic Weekend.

Hull KR versus Salford has been as dreary to watch for a neutral as expected. The final game today should be an improvement. It would have to go some to be worse.

#Wakefield have barely been good enough for #SuperLeague for several years, and we've no right being in the top tier this season with our squad and coach, so I shouldn't be upset that we are playing as weak and ineffectually as we are, but it still manages to be depressingly disappointing to watch this #MagicWeekend performance against Leigh. #RugbyLeague

Cracking finish to the concluding match of the first day of #MagicWeekend #RugbyLeague in Newcastle. We weren't exactly neutrals - being Wakey fans we will always want Castleford to lose - but fair play to our local rivals for that win over Leeds. A good, competitive, exciting match to watch. #SuperLeague

This is Baby-Faced Assassin IPA which, if we'd checked properly before we bought, we likely wouldn't have selected as it's made from 100% Citra hops. And we're not fans of Citra hops. However, it's actually not too punch-in-the-stomach citrussy, which is a relief.
