Second Foundations draft. Went 5-3. I was really unhappy with the draft, actually, because all the data I could see made red-green look *really ropy*. And I mean it probably is for the top level of players. But I was playing in the bottom tiers, where sometimes your opponent just does math wrong and scoops when *they* have lethal.
It was me, I did the scoop, it was such an embarrassing loss and I feel like such a boob. Make them kill you!
This was the second or third time in a #MagicArena match where my opponent played [[Split Up]] and then picked the wrong option, destroying only their own creatures. Is this a UI problem?
I haven't played with the card yet so I don't know. I do know I have made terrible mistakes with choose-one cards before because of the UI or because I was too rushed to pay proper attention.

They conceded. I don't know if it was actually a lost cause (my deck is not strong) but I didn't get to search their entire deck so don't know what else they had.

I think I just played an opponent who didn't realise they had to pay life to use Gix's card draw. They had two creatures through unblocked, they were on two life, and they drew a card, to which I went: Brave.
Then they drew the next card and died and I went: Ah, a Dark Confidant fan.
Something I want to have on hand for mastery quests is a set of 5 simple, low-or-no-rares standard decks that win or lose fast, so that when I have a quest for 'play 20 x or y' spells, I can just grab one and go. Obviously for red this is easy, and the mono-blue gobots/ninja deck that Fraun shared a while back was good for that.
White, black, and green, they're the challenging ones.

I want the interface to be faster than it is, I want the characters to shut the living fuck up, I want the cards to be cards, and you know, obviously I'm going to say that because I'm a mere enjoyer of a mere card game, not an Online Collectable Crystal Purchasing Experience
I have been playing, and the little daily quests make the play experience of just doing starter deck alchemy with randoms pretty nice. I don't care about losing or winning, because I just wanna see if I can cast enough spells before the game ends. It's a neat secondary goal.
I also am enjoying picking up decks I *do not know* and just jamming them against people I don't have to talk to or reassure.
