It's an ensemble piece that had the feel of a play which is a good thing IMO.

It's also a mystery that you are kept wondering how it will turn out in the end & are surprised when it does.

#CateBlsanchett & #MichaelFastbender are also the principal actors & they carry off their roles marvelously

The director is also the talented & versatile #StevenSoderberg who has directed a wide range of movies over the past 40yrs from #SexLivesAndVideoTapes to the #Oceans11 to #MagicMike to #ErinBrockovich & #FullFrontal just name a few.

Coincidentally, I just bought the DVD for #Presence (2024), which was also directed by Soderberg, which I saw at the theater & also liked.

I'd rate the Black Bag a 8 out of 10.

-The liberal use of oils could have reduced that friction.

I don't quite understand how on the day I read "Lessons in Chemistry", I've found myself watching "Magic Mike's Last Dance", but I have - and it's insane. They've gone for a weird, stylised, storybook Paddington London setting. They've essentially made "Nude Paddington". Who OK'd this? I can't believe I have never seen the cultural phenominon that is Magic Mike. I saw both of the movies last night. Have to say The first film wasn't that good with the exception of the dancing scenes and some of the characters. I wasn't impressed with the main female actor's work. The second #film is fantastic. It was almost the opposite of the first one. There's chemistry, exceptional positivity, fabulous acting, and charming characters.

It’s difficult to wrap your brain around how one of the most feminist films in recent memory is about male strippers, but it’s true. MAGIC MIKE XXL is also just pure joy. Try not to grin at this dance sequence, in which Joe Manganiello puts his all into making an unhappy gas station clerk smile.
