The 'Lightyear' movie from Pixar was accompanied by a 'Hyperspeed' range of rather cool vehicle and ship toys. The truck, in particular, was just too good to not put on the table. Had to make some workspace changes at home. Setting up a new painting desk. A little smaller than the old one, but should do the job.

One of the things we're aiming for with the upcoming V2 rulebook for Maelstrom's Edge is to add some more detail into the backgrounds of the game's factions. We'll be introducing new material to flesh out the universe, giving players more hooks to develop their forces within the setting. While we continue bashing away at the book to get it finished, here's a preview of some alternate colour scheme ideas for the Karist Enclave.

I've always thought that urban battlefields are at their best when they look a bit run-down and decrepit. Adding obvious signs of weathering with liberal applications of dirt and corrosion are an important part of nailing this look. A couple of table-ready Artarian Remnant suits for Maelstrom's Edge, painted up very quickly last week, mostly using Citadel Contrast over Army Painter Plate Metal spray.
The base suit is a multi-part plastic kit. The swords, heat sink arm and heads on these two are 3d printed.
