This #book changed me! The chapters are standalone stories and as a compilation they critique "the system" psy-complex, mental health, sanity, all the things. I can't say enough about how powerful this text is! Diverse #authors Living all over the globe experiencing insanity or sanity or a combination of the two! #GoodWriting #writers #readers

I have close relationships with a few of the authors but their chapters were a surprise to me!

@J_T for me there was a need to make alotta changes. some acceptance (that i’m different & sensitive &not normal (or broken)), some social (leave a relationship), some behavioral (stick to a schedule,meditate,breathwork), some temporal (be in nature, do work that has purpose). EVERY DAY .
some days: i still feel all those things (the pain and difficult emotions), but they are less and less. and larger gaps between when i do. the intensity is still there and it’s difficult to manage.
i’ve had good counseling but peer support was, and is, how i discovered (and implemented and maintain) all this #MadHelpingMad

@marzours Hey there, and thanks! I'm far from most of my books at the moment due to being away on winter break from college, but I did bring with me a book titled Call Me Crazy: Stories from the Mad Movement by Irit Shimrat, published in 1997.

I believe it may be out of print, but I was able to purchase a used copy online, and I'm enjoying it so far!
