Funny anecdote: when I came to Germany, I didn’t know the word “verwirrt” (confused) and made up “konfusiert”. My German boyfriend (who’s now my husband) didn’t correct me, he thought it was cute. I said “Ich bin konfusiert” for at least 5 years until it was pointed out to me.
Imagine my surprise when I heard a German say "ich bin konfusiert"!
I asked if it was a word after all and was told no, it’s a joke based on a story about a silly remark made by an American soprano ...

Trying to make up a word that sounds like it could be a real world. It’s really hard. The closest I’ve got so far is “hebrazine”, which I’d like to think would be a description of the pinky violet colour of a dusky horizon. #MadeUpWords
