Six months ago I travelled abroad for the first time in my life. My anxiety almost succeed in impeding it, multiple times. But I'm glad I overcame it and lived that experience. Hace un par de años, inspirada por el urumi, hice un cinturón espada de inspiración celta para una exposición. Me quedó el gusanillo de hace la réplica de la de #Xena, pero nunca tenía tiempo. Cuando me vi #WarriorNun y la espada fue añadida a la lista. Cosas pasaron, y cerré encargos y decidí reconectar con mi creatividad. Tomé la oportunidad de hacer algunos experimentos, y han salido bien, así que estoy contenta con el resultado. Espero que os gusten!

The borders of the helm are golden, but I wanted to make it look like metal, so some lightning and shadowing were required. The first two hands are bronze, then three more of light golden applied in little touches in the center of the convex volumes

The leaves were going to be stained with tones of green, red and brown. The main technic is a cloth shadowing (I don't know the technical name in english) along each leaf, combined with some touches of the wool daubers to create uneven

And now the painting! I gave them a midyellow tone base with a little bit of brown, painted with airbrush, because the client want a late summer-early autumn tone to contrast the green of the helm. The decorative borders are going to be golden, so hopefully the contrast will still match somehow
