Today is what Terry Pratchett once referred to as one of the axles of the year. It's the day to welcome in the summer, to crown the May Queen, to follow the oss, or to dress the well.

Maddy Prior has a long vocal career; I know her from several #MikeOldfield albums. She has a voice that always makes me think of a foghorn -- not normally a compliment for singers! -- in that she confidently cuts right through any accompaniment. I should compare her voice to a bell, really.
She's recorded albums of hymns and carols with the Carnival Band. "Angels from the Realms of Glory" is from the album of carols.
