  1. I was taking macro photos of drops on moss with light, and I noticed that they were rotating. Counterclockwise, quite quickly. So I shot a macro video, which I had never seen before. What could it be, maybe the heat from the camera? I've never seen it before. I also have a video of another drop, where something alive is swimming inside, probably Paramecium, but only for a fraction of a second. Tiny worlds that I can immerse myself in through the camera display.

  2. This creature roams the mossy forest. It has really ugly mandibles and camouflage on its back. I recommend turning on the sound, if you're not afraid of not being able to sleep afterwards.

  3. Cetonia aurata, Golden headed beetle, flower eater. But I disturbed it by trying to take a video, it stopped eating the flowers, shook its head and flew away. Sometimes I realize that I enter natural habitats as a threat, animals are alarmed by my presence. I can only try not to cause suffering.

  4. Hoverfly does funny things. Well, just from my point of view. For her, it's a food like any other.
It is Episyrphus balteatus, a common fly masquerading as a wasp. The flower is a snakeweed, blueweed, Echium vulgare. You'll always find some pollen and nectar collectors there.

  5. This hoverfly needed to clean its face. They do it often, but it's hard when the wind is whipping the blueweed leaves. And I was holding the flower with my hand out of the frame, otherwise the video wouldn't have been possible.

  6. Very calm and slow macro video. Armadillidium versicolor. A small terrestrial crustacean. I find them beautiful. Taken on a concrete base. I prefer natural environments, but if it weren't for the nearby river and lowland deciduous forest, there wouldn't be enough moisture in the air. And this concrete wall wouldn't be covered in moss and lichen either, and this crustacean wouldn't be living here.

  7. "Mesmerized by the sheer variety of perceptions, which are like the illusory reflections of the moon in water, beings wander endlessly astray in samsara’s vicious cycle."

  8. Playing around with all these liquids and different lights is such a joy. Editing these videos, however, is a whole other story. It's just so difficult for me to chose what to take out and what works better -- mostly because I just find it all so cool I have a hard time chosing any one specific thing over another!

  9. A little splash for those of us here dreaming analog dreams.

This is all handmade using inks and other liquids under a macro lens.

Been trying out #pixelfed but it's really too bad we can only upload up to to 15mb there.

  10. Something to calm you down. I wasn't expecting this dude now, early winter. Tetrodontophora are little blue-grey animals, like moss cows.
I don't have a tripod, but with my hand resting on the trunk, the macro video was good. I would have liked to show you face to face but there was something good to eat.
That's the advantage of macro - we're so big for these little guys that they don't notice us when we're shooting.

A herd of little blue cows munching on a mushroom. It's not a hallucination. My favorite animal, Tetrodontophora. They're these tiny little cows of the small landscapes. They're about three to four millimeters in size. Their color is similar to the color of poppy seeds.
