I was a bit grumpy that Ozma Lee's Fire Bomber fandom was treated as an in-joke on "Frontier" and we didn't see a stronger engagement with that catalog of songs (like we see with the Minmay catalog), but this film pretty much addresses that complaint from me. #Macross7 #MacrossFrontier #Macross

I finished watching Macross 7 today (besides Dynamite! and the movie). All in all, kind of a weird series. The start is pretty slow and it takes like 20 episodes before the plot starts moving forward. It would definitely not be 50 episodes in modern times.

I did end up liking it, but probably my least favorite Macross thing I've watched.

I do have to say, at the beginning, I really hated Planet Dance because they would play it at least once every episode, but it did eventually grow on me.

Today's prompt, September 4: it's dark and there's only one flashlight featuring Gamlin (Macross 7) and the Major (Ghost in the Shell).

Kinda feel bad that all the tones and rest of the drawing got "hidden" because of the nature of the mood, but one day I may show the sausage XD I did a custom outfit for Motoko because the ones that could be more relevant were too complicated or didn't have good references online.

This is from 2021--while watching #Eurovision a buddy commented that the Italian bassist for Måneskin reminded him of (a darker) Mylene, so...I figured I'd use that as a warm-up at the time 😂 Tis why this is a very rough sketch.
