So does #Kopia do disk imaging, or no? I ask because I'm looking for a good alternative to #MacriumReflect , saw some stuff here and in a web search that they ended support of the free version and I want to get off Mr. Bone's wild ride (late-stage capitalism and #proprietary software).

Spent some time over the weekend, well basically the whole weekend, revamping some of my backups. Whole disc image backups are something I want to do more frequently.
Very pleased with the completely free version of #MacriumReflect v8 for windows and #ReDoRescue v4 for Linux.
Macrium also allows the backups to be automated!

This experience got me thinking that instead of leaving 1 of my NVME drives waste away having #Windows that does not get used, I might as well use it as a backup-only drive on #Linux. Wipe the drive, mount it to my main system, then set #Vorta up to use it as a #backup repository. That way I'd have an always available #macOS #TimeMachine like backup solution using that drive.
I'm curious how would I go about cloning the entirety of a drive to another on Linux (preferably graphically) though? In comparison, I normally use a free tool called #MacriumReflect that does a good job of cloning drives on Windows - I could even perform the cloning while using my desktop as usual from the source drive with no slowdown/issue. Never found a 1:1 alternative yet for Linux that could achieve this.

Need #computer advice right now.
The #SSD drive which runs my Windows desktop died & I can no longer #boot (no bios found & it fails SMART).
2nd #HDD hard drive passes #SMART. Need to pay someone to install new SSD drive and Windows. OEM Windows license means $ for another license.
I have a #MacriumReflect image of all the partitions, but it is an image, not a clone. I don't think I can reinstall Windows that way. Would also like to recover any SSD data not backed up to the image which is 1 month old
Above all, I want nothing to impact the 2nd HDD drive which is where the bulk of my data is stored. I have these files backed up through Thursday. Really really don't want to have to reinstall apps, browser extensions but seems inevitable
Question: What do I need to tell the computer tech specifically to do, and to avoid doing?
