Uh, neat, newer macOS beta lets you add the weather to the menu bar. Clicking on it just shows a pocket version of the weather app.

I have always wanted this. I know there are 3rd-party apps for this, but I never found one that made me happy and this is almost identical to what I wanted.

Currently there is no way to customize this though.
