Hello #Fediverse, here's your "daily" OS-tan art!
This one is of Mac OS 8-tan! Since it is MARCHintosh I should post Mac-tans :P.
Mac OS 8-tan was born during the worst of the OS Wars and was originally named Mac OS 7.7-tan. Her creation was a result of neither Copland nor Taligent being adequate successors, so for another generation, the Classic Mac bloodline was extended as a last-resort measure. She was raised from the start to be a fighter during the thick of the OS Wars and was the Mac faction's last chance at survival and she was willing to risk her life for them. Her main mission aside from defense, was to stop the Mac Clone-tans, and exile them from the remaining Apple territory.

One of my @mediaarchaeologylab #Marchintosh projects has been to rehabilitate this all-in-one Macintosh PowerPC 5260/100, a precursor of the more colorful iMac and eMac all-in-ones. This one has a dead backup battery and has some issues with its SCSI port in the back, but is now bootable and has a lot of great games and other stuff on it like the Newton Connection Kit, which I really want to test out with the Newton we have in the back room. I also anticipate having some fun using my new #TheOldNet wifi modem emulator with it. #mediaarchaeology #mac #macos8
