I've been using the "Stop Tahoe Update" configuration profile with macOS Sequoia to block the Tahoe update prompt in System Settings.

With macOS 15.7.5 Apple seems to have patched this to some extent... (assholes) Thankfully switching to the Sequoia Public Beta channel is a good workaround for now.

La gran sorpresa técnica es que este MacBook no utiliza un chip de la serie M (como el M4 o M5), sino una versión optimizada del A19, el mismo motor que impulsa al iPhone 17.

Precio y Estrategia: El golpe a los Chromebooks

Con un precio inicial de $549 USD, Apple se posiciona directamente en el territorio que antes dominaban los Chromebooks de gama alta y las laptops Windows económicas.

El MacBook «Lite» (como ya lo llama la prensa) viene con 128 GB de almacenamiento base y 12 GB de RAM, una configuración suficiente para el nuevo sistema operativo macOS Sequoia 2, que ha sido optimizado específicamente para funcionar sobre los chips de la serie A.

¿Para quién es este MacBook?

Apple no pretende que esta sea una máquina para editores de video o programadores pesados (para eso están los nuevos MacBook Pro M5). Este equipo está diseñado para:

1. Estudiantes: Que necesitan portabilidad absoluta y batería infinita.
2. Viajeros: Que buscan un dispositivo ligero para trabajar en movimiento.
3. Usuarios de iPad: Que prefieren el factor de forma de una laptop con teclado físico completo y trackpad.

Today is "spring cleaning" for me. Time to use the good old "Erase all content and settings" from my computer, make my second container with a second install for client work and start everything clean. I LOVE that. I know it's a chore most people avoid but I absolutely love!

So far I've been running a main partition as macOS Sequoia and a second partition with macOS Tahoe.

Will soon discover if I keep it this way or if I do something crazy.

Ah, macOS Sequoia.

OS upgrades don't happen in the middle of projects, if it can be avoided, so I'm just getting here.

Pro: My iPhone on my desktop. Cool.

Con: Window tiling shortcuts require Fn key that doesn't exist on my 14yo Apple A1243 workhorse keyboard. Maybe there is a fix but I'll probably just keep using Moom.

🤔...or I could buy one of those fancy new ponies.

If you use Apple Quicklook in the Finder to review your RAW files (pressing space bar) don't upgrade to macOS 15.4! It has broke for me. Seeing other reports online as well. Just get a black window unless you resize it and then the image appears

Mac Studio z M3 Ultra to najpotężniejsza stacja robocza do pracy z AI, oferująca do 512 GB zunifikowanej pamięci i zoptymalizowaną wydajność GPU pod kątem frameworka Apple MLX.

Mac Studio bez kluczowej funkcji

Choć to najwydajniejsze komputery Mac w historii, brakuje im jednej kluczowej funkcji – trybu wysokiej wydajności (High Power Mode).
