The #MacAddress channel had such a good content but very low cadence and very temporal topics, same with #GameLinked.
I bet those channels could get a resurgence by being more varied, which was not the case for GameLinked (just news).

It's pretty ironic, the most consistently high quality #LMG channel, #MacAddress is the one currently sunsetting or on hiatus while the main channel, #LTT continues publishing garbage videos. From the comments, it seems that the reason is bcos the primary/sole host/writer is leaving - if that's true, I really hope he'll make a channel of his own.
Update:
He apparently got laid off, that's bizarre. The theory in the replies is that the Mac Address channel just isn't profitable (prolly cos it's #Apple centric), despite, again, being the one that offered the highest quality content.

It seems it's impossible to initially connect from a #Chromecast device on #Android12 to a new #WiFi #WLAN using its REAL #MACaddress #EthernetAddress... 😠
The initial setup always seems to be with random MAC address (for privacy reasons)... Only once you successfully connected to the new WiFi at least once, you can modify the connection to use the device's "real" MAC address...
Seems to be a design limitation?!
For security reasons I have a separate IoT LAN, and per-MAC/device #WPA keys.

This is tough… #LinusTechTips really fucked up, their trustworthiness basically went straight out of the window now. And the fact they literally SOLD A PROTOTYPE they have promised to send back to a company they badly roasted beforehand is just inexcusable.

So that's half the trick, but it looks like this distro or driver or network adaptor, we are working with atm, doesn't reset the #MACAddress…

Self removing 3 lines of base64 encoding hidden inside a random download grabs your current mac address and sends it remotely to deanonymize you on Tor/VPN/proxy ("calling home" by piping netcat).
It then auto removes itself (evidence of it ever happening) after.
A careful reminder to check what you download: something like this could deanonymize you.
