@macesari Interesting, to say the least. Fine, if geriatricians educate themselves about the neurological and pharmacological intricacies of AD (which begins maybe two decades before any symptoms), but very many memory patients meet a geriatrician way too late. I haven't met one thus far, and was a guinea-pig in aducanumab-research for 4 years (got it 10 mg/kg). From my own experience and what I have studied during the journey, I concur with the minimal clinical advantage and the heavy burden of monthly infusions. But it is quite another question, who should lead the patience care at MCI-level and before, where MAB's can still make a difference.

Members will take more strike action in higher education unless employer body UCEA agrees to return to negotiations.
The union's Higher Education Committee voted today for further strikes before the end of September, as well as to begin preparations for a new ballot in order to renew UCU's industrial mandate in the pay and working conditions dispute.
The marking boycott will also continue.

An emergency Higher Education Committee meeting has been requested which will decide UCU's response to the refusal of the employers' body, UCEA, to settle the ongoing pay and conditions dispute.
A date and timescales will be found which ensures branches and members can have their input.
UCU general secretary Jo Grady said 'UCEA have demonstrated unparalleled intransigence. We must come together and determine next steps.'

UCU has slammed employer body UCEA for condemning students across the UK to continued graduation disruption by refusing to settle the ongoing pay and conditions dispute.
This was in response to a letter UCEA sent yesterday which said employers will not make any attempt to restore punitive pay deductions for staff who have boycotted marking, nor will they make any improved pay offer.

UCU general secretary Jo Grady: University employers are refusing to consider offering anything extra on pay, and in the absence of this neither are they offering anything to redress the punitive pay deductions many members have suffered for participating in the marking & assessment boycott.
We'll do everything possible to challenge the employers legally on the unfair and disproportionate deductions and will also build for further action.

Emergency protests will hit UK university campuses tomorrow ahead of UCU's crunch talks with the employer body, UCEA.
UCU met with UCEA last week in an attempt to end the UK-wide university marking boycott and resolve the ongoing pay and working conditions dispute. Unfortunately, UCEA refused to table an improved pay offer or provide any redress for members who have been hit with punitive pay deductions.

UCU members at SOAS have today opened their payslips to find 100% pay deductions. This is utterly appalling behaviour from university management. They have attacked staff and dragged their reputation through the mud instead of calling on their representatives at UCEA to re-negotiate.
