Dzięki dzisiejszemu rozwojowi, Parallels Desktop 18 i 19 mogą teraz uruchamiać Windows 11 dla Arm w maszynach wirtualnych na M3 MacBook Pro, M3 Pro MacBook Pro i M3 Max MacBook Pro. Apple wypuściło te maszyny w listopadzie 2023 roku.

Microsoft wyjaśnia na swojej stronie, jak działa wsparcie dla uruchamiania wersji Arm systemu Windows na komputerach Apple Silicon Mac:

Parallels Desktop w wersji 18 i 19 to autoryzowane rozwiązania do uruchamiania wersji Arm Windows 11 Pro i Windows 11 Enterprise w środowisku wirtualnym na swojej platformie na komputerach Apple M1, M2 i M3.

Wersja Arm systemu Windows 11 ma ograniczenia, które mogą wpływać na możliwość korzystania z różnych typów sprzętu, gier i aplikacji, w tym tych, które opierają się na DirectX 12, pakiecie technologii multimedialnych często używanych w grach Windows i innych aplikacjach.

This wouldn’t be surprising since the #M3Pro has two fewer performance cores and less memory bandwidth than the equivalent M2 model. But the M3’s performance and efficiency cores are 15% and 30% faster, respectively, so everyday performance should still be improved. Sieht so aus, als würde es für mich dieses Jahr dann doch mal wieder ein neues #macbookpro geben. Die Farbe Schwarz sagt mir schon sehr zu. Jetzt ist eher die Frage ob #m3pro oder #m3max . Damit verbunden, die Frage nach dem RAM. Als Developer hab ich gelernt, man hat nie genug RAM 😅 @Apfelfunk ich bin gespannt auf die nächste Folge zu dem Thema 😁

While Apple’s performance comparison visualizations can be quite dubious, comparing to multiple previous generations of the architecture they’re debuting is actually useful. It helps answer the question: Okay, so maybe it’s not worth it to upgrade from M2 to M3, but what about M1 to M3?

And the answer is: It depends.

I have an M1 Pro Macbook Pro for work. I’m not pushing its boundaries. I don’t need an upgrade. But maybe M4 next year?
