as a b-side, beyond the surface value meaning of rapping about his mother and his woman (one per verse), i am fairly sure it's also a story in greek/roman mythology. perhaps oedipus.

A tune for the #JukeboxFridayNight theme of #LyricalMasterpieces here: this is Consolidated with Unity of Oppression, which manages to tackle rights for animals, homophobia, antisemitism, and racial equality in a little over four minutes. Great political music that got played a lot when I was at university.

For me, my initial thoughts go to the lyrical poetry and storytelling of Andre 3000 of #Outkast in "A Day in the Life of Benjamin Andre." There is not a music video for it, but you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXPWQqXv2zM
This is such masterful storytelling that draws you in with amazing flow and fantastic beats while Andre 3000 tells his, as of yet, incomplete story.

Well, let me show ya how it affects the whole community -
This is an adventure of a song and the lyrics are compelling. I can't decide on which ones to quote as all of them are integral to the story.
I could have chosen virtually any song composed by #MikeScott as he has such a creative mind. This one however is one of many stand outs for me within #TheWaterboys back catalogue.
