CW: Health - lipedema compression garment shopping
Compression bolero - nope nope nope nope. This cut the front of my shoulders off from blood supply, and left some really nasty bruising and torn skin, just from trying to get into it. Insanely painful.
I think my shoulders are too far forward (or the arm pits too swollen from the missing lymph node). So, now I know if I get a prescription from the gyn, it will need to be single arm(s), not a bolero.
Compression basic bra though - is very comfy on the transplant. Good, 'cos my old operation recovery bras are breaking down.
Taking a rest so my poor battered and overstretched bursitis shoulders will be up to wrestling into the compression long-sleeved top tomorrow or the next day.
The compression leggings I'm pretty confident will fit as I have others from this brand (CzSalus) in the same size.

am in massive pain on my #mastectomy side and am literally exhausted from the pain.
i already had to deal with #fibromyalgia but when the #lymphedema decides to hit hard, it takes me out.
so if you are also suffering from chronic pain, loudly or in silence, i see you.
my doctors have been amazing but i wish the whole USA health care culture took pain seriously. there has to be a better way than leaving these side effects to chance.

Wrestled myself into compression again today. Does high levels of anger and frustration affect (trigger) lymphedema?
I normally have pure lipedema - no pitting or water storage - and compression doesn’t help with that. This is the first return of lymph swelling since my cancer ops and stopping Visanne.

After a few months of my husband positing that my #lymphoedema seems worse around my period (or at least I complain about it more...) TIL that it's true! Our bodies retain more water at certain points in the hormone cycle and that can impact swelling!

I've had to get compressing bandaging done on my arm. I got a splinter in my finger about a month ago. The spot hasn't fully healed, and my #lymphedema has been acting up thanks to the tiny wound. I thought my hand was going to pop it got so big. So now I'm a partial mummy, and this really sucks.
