A fab. 6 hour trip in Lyme Bay, #Devon onboard Kelly's Hero. Highlights were great views of European Storm Petrel, a raft of at least 120 Manx Shearwater as well as a Sunfish & Gannet. Great company too.

An atmospheric, misty trip out on Kellys' Hero this morning around #LymeBay with some fabulous company. Highlights: Peregrine, Common Scoter, Gannet, Fulmar, Raven, Guillemot and Razorbill as well as Common Short-beaked Dolphin and Atlantic Grey Seal.

A trip out on Kelly's Hero from #Brixham #Devon this morning brought very close views of Manx Shearwater & Gannet and, for most of the 4 hours, Short-beaked Common Dolphin were visible. Everyone was smiling!

My Grandson had to look after me today and I thought I would treat him to his first wildlife boat trip into Lyme Bay. To say it worked out well is an understatement. Short-beaked Common Dolphin right beside the boat (his face when he saw his first one is already a treasured memory), Harbour Porpoise further away and a Grey Seal as well as Gannet, Guillemot and Balearic Shearwater. Another trip on 'Kelly's Hero' with skipper Dave and a lovely set of fellow travellers. Lots of Skua action, Short-beaked Common Dolphin, Harbour Porpoise, Grey Seal and Bluefin Tuna. The sun was out and sea was still. Fabulous.

A Northern Gannet lapping the ‘Kelly’s Hero’ on Sunday. The UK’s largest seabird species has taken a pummelling from Avian ‘flu.

Elegant and far-ranging, they are beautiful birds to see at any time.

I could not resist another trip out into Lyme Bay this morning aboard 'Kelly's Hero' and am I glad I went. As well as good views of Manx and Balearic Shearwater, at one point there were eight - EIGHT - European Storm Petrel near the boat. Utterly fantastic!!! A sight that will stay with me for a long time.

If you ever get the chance to go out with Dave on Kellys' Hero (from #Brixham), take it. This morning's three hour trip around Lyme Bay had good weather, great company and some fine wildlife. Bottnose Dolphin, Harbour Porpoise, Grey Seal, Purple Sandpiper, Great Northern Diver and a pair of Peregrine. Three hours well spent.
