"Luther: the fallen sun" di Jamie Payne, 129minuti, 2023. VM16 -
Quelle tristesse.

Disgraced Detective Chief Inspector John Luther (Idris Elba) receives a disturbing message from a serial killer via a broadcast on a Grundig Party Boy 100 portable radio (1981) in "Luther: The Fallen Sun" (dir. Jamie Payne, 2023)

Just finished #LutherTheFallenSun
Absolutely frikkin’ interminable. And I really don’t give a toss about John Luther’s coat 🙄
If you’ve not seen it, don’t waste your time; just grab The Department Q series instead - a Danish masterclass in police drama - with zero eye rolling. -
I watched another movie last night (yep, #MovieNight) and the plot was disgusting also. It was #LutherTheFallenSun
The plot made me sick that there are such sickos, but I continued watching because I've seen all the Luther series. TBH, I wish I didn't watch it.

As a huge fan of the Luther TV series I couldn't wait for the movie, but I can only sigh and shake my head at Luther: The Fallen Sun on Netflix.
It is so balls out stupid, particularly the final act, that it completely ruins a film that could have really been the icing on the cake for the series. Let's hope whatever comes next is far superior.

Was #LutherTheFallenSun a bit underwhelming? Or have I got de-sensitized by all the violent shows that have come after that?
Luther did look a bit more tired than angry though.

CW: Luther: The Fallen Sun (Spoilers)
#LutherTheFallenSun was dark as fuck. Pretty damn good though. The series always churns out inventive serial killers...and this one was probably the most disturbing yet. If I had one critique, it's that I wish there was more backstory on how the killer formed his network. Had a bit of a Zuckerberg angle/social commentary on tech & human traffiking that was definitely worth exploring.
Also kind of miffed there was no Alice Morgan cameo. Again. 🙄 🙄 #Luther #BBC

As a new addition to the cast for the first "Luther" movie, "Luther: The Fallen Sun," Cynthia Erivo loved getting the chance to work with star Idris Elba.
