Chinese human rights lawyer #LuSiwei, who was sentenced to 11 months’ imprisonment for “illegally crossing the border”, appealed against his conviction, citing irregularities and procedural flaws in the trial, which was held closed-door. Lu’s health condition is worrying.

Human rights lawyer #LuSiwei has been detained for 9 months, in addition to 3 months of detention in 2023. Yet, Chenghua District Court in Chengdu, Sichuan province, still hasn’t confirmed any trial date. It’s really painful and frustrating for his wife and other relatives.

Chinese human rights lawyer #LuSiwei has been detained since 10 October 2024. His health condition is not good. His lawyer visited him yesterday. He's still suffering from psoriasis. Constipation and diarrhea. Not allowed to take imported medicine. Can't send letters to family.

@CECCgov RT by @benedictrogers: Rights lawyer #LuSiwei fled China to join his family in the US when he was detained in Laos and later deported at the PRC’s request. @UN Member States should condemn his detention and refoulement and ask the PRC to stop exporting persecution globally. #FreeThemAll #UPR https://nitter.hongkongers.net/CECCgov/status/1748834285929275873#m
