Shiny Lunala! ✨ I got super lucky catching the new shiny that's been available for the first time today. It's also a very strong shadow attacker, not just a collectable. Incredibly difficult to catch: super far away, basically impossible to hit it on my phone. The old AR mode trick came in clutch (it places the pokemon right in front of you in AR).

I joined the local #PokemonGo community for raid hour this evening and had a great time. About 50–60 people showed up. Onlookers must have been wondering what the hell we were doing on our phones - just like in the early days of Pokemon GO. (Some folks were casually battling on 2–3 phones simultaneously 😂 )

Turns out the regular Ambassador community route is right on my way to the gym, who would have thought? Made a few new Pokemon friendos in my neighbourhood.

Good to see that they moved from Discord to Campfire (Niantic's version of Meetup), it's so much better having events show up directly in the game's calendar 👏
