Biden administration puts the final nail in the coffin for #incandescent #lightbulbs. The result of a decade-plus-long legislative path. Beginning in 2007 when Energy Independence and Security Act passed, in April 2022, a rule required the minimum standard efficiency of 45 #lumens per watt, which became effective in July. The process to consider increasing the energy efficiency standard for light bulbs to over 120 lumens per watt for the most common bulbs has started.
