  4. On 17 November 1940 Luke Kelly (Lúcás Ó Ceallaigh) was born in Sheriff Street, Dublin. His father, also named Luke, was shot and severely wounded as a child by British soldiers from the King's Own Scottish Borderers during the 1914 Bachelor's Walk massacre. Luke Óg went on to be a key member of the Dubliners.
