@scroeser We are a sign language workshop series and this year we actively advertised our Mastodon account (see event title slide in post picture). We use the hashtags #SignLangLREC and #LREC plus LREC+year. The #LREC2026 hash tag had some activity for us and the LREC main conference that we are a satellite event of.

Vom 11.-16. Mai 2026 fand in Palma de Mallorca die diesjährige LREC (Language Resources and Evaluation Conference) statt. 🏝️Auch vom IDGS waren einige Kolleg:innen aus dem DGS-Korpus-Projekt und dem SemaSign-Projekt mit dabei, um am 16. Mai ihre Forschungsprojekte beim internationalen Workshop zum Thema "Representation and Processing of Sign Languages: Language in Motion“ zu präsentieren. 👩💻 Es war für alle Beteiligten ein besonderes Erlebnis, sich mit Wissenschaftler:innen von Universitäten aus aller Welt auszutauschen, neue Ideen zu entwickeln und aktuelle Forschungsfelder zum Thema Gebärdensprachen kennen zu lernen. 🤟 #idgsuhh #dgskorpusprojekt #lrec2026 #gebärdensprachforschung

The list of accepted papers for sign-lang@LREC 2026 is now available at https://www.sign-lang.uni-hamburg.de/lrec2026/programme.html
We had a large number of excellent submissions, resulting in 52 accepted papers, the second largest number in the workshop‘s 22 year history!
In addition, at least 11 papers about sign languages have been accepted to the LREC main conference. We include a list of these on the same page.

What a great week! Our paper "The SignBeach Dataset of Dutch Sign Language (#NGT) signs" with Gomèr Otterspeer, Beyza Sümer and Floris Roelofsen has been accepted for an on-stage (😮) presentation at the #SignLanguage workshop at #lrec2026. With this paper, we publish the whole multi-angle, multi-signer dataset of all the NGT signs recorded in the #SignBeach project with computational derivatives for academic reuse. We are excited to announce the official call for papers for sign-lang@LREC 2026, aka the 12th Workshop on the Representation and Processing of Sign Languages! It will take place on 16 May 2026 as a full day event on the final day of LREC 2026 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
The deadline for submissions is 14 February 2026. Please note that these must be full paper submissions (4–8 pages), not abstracts.

It is offical: We will be part of LREC 2026 as the 12th Workshop on the Representation and Processing of Sign Languages 🎉
The conference will take place from 11–16 May in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The workshop theme will be “Language in Motion”. The exact workshop date and submission deadline are not yet confirmed.
