thanks to those brave souls who joined me on a tour of our beautiful campus that I am extraordinarily privileged and proud to be a part of. And thanks to my friends new and old who came to our campus and let me regale them with Goldy lore and also #GopherWHockey stories.

As library people we have no business asking for things and doing things that do not comport with our values as librarians. when we abandon who we are, we abandon what makes working in libraries important and special. so don't do bad stuff. only do good stuff.

#LPF24: I will be giving a short walking tour of the (good) weird parts of the east bank campus a bit after 5, if anyone is interested!

apropos: I need to observe how fortunate those of us who work here are to be at this university with the amazing resources we have available to us. not everywhere is as well resourced as we are. we have an embarrassment of riches.
and not just in women's hockey.

BTAA schools share library collections to the extent that together we're the 3rd largest library in the world.

#LPF24: talking about the #B1G "Ten" Academic Alliance (BTAA)
I make no comment with no disrespect intended to our new "family" members at Washington, Oregon, UCLA, and USC.
I have no comment about the destruction of a 100+ year old athletic and academic alliance because of TV Revenue, nor do I have any thoughts whatsoever about the fact that they're soon going to be flying teams across the GD country to play a single basketball game. No comment.
I think it's just great. We're a family. hooray for us!

#LPF24: quality/process checklist
Open, accessible, high quality
shared early in the process and feedback is used to iterate/improve
developed and accepted based on their own capacity

UHouston: establishing standards and expectations for #OER development.
Incredible flexibility on licensing. Encouraged but not required to use an open/creative commons license
biggest priority was reducing costs quickly, before full structure/process was in place
but now requires open/CC license.

#LPF24: they are both wonderful people and they should be very proud of the work that they are doing at #VIVAlib.
Being based at GMU and Virginia is a great place to be doing this kinda stuff!
