I was a #SomethingAwful person for 15 or so years until #Lowtax went insane and eventually killed himself and I might just be an ex #Reddit person now as well. Twitter has millions of users and is a place for journalists, many of whom are reporting from repressive regimes.

Twitter had a pre-existing culture that #Elon shoved his dick in so that he could be the new #Lowtax. We didn't consent to that and many of us are transitioning away. Given #Twitter's size and importance, he has a responsibility to run it fairly like an adult

I maintain that this notion of the #firstamendment being applicable to twitter is a bad argument. It wasn't true before and it isn't true now. All that said, it is a problem, even if its not a violation of the law for #Elon to moderate #twitter like #Lowtax from #SomethingAwful

Twitter's size and importance means that it should be moderated responsibly. On SA, you might get banned for personally irritating the mods and the suspension message would be a picture of tarantula on someone's penis

#ElonMusk is behaving like a brat. He's treating something that became fundamental to our global communication infrastructure, a place where the debate was, a haven for journalists in authoritarian regimes as his personal fiefdom. He's running Twitter like #Lowtax ran #SomethingAwful
