    The bill passed the House by a vote of 357 to 70. It would expand eligibility for the #child #tax credit among the lowest-income #families & adjust payments for #inflation for the 2024 & 2025 filing years.

  7. #Ypsilanti city council unanimously votes to help #lowincomefamilies reduce #propertytaxes. The poverty exemption from the city was raised from $12,880 to $24,750. Mayor Pro-Tem Steve Wilcoxen says a sliding scale was added where someone’s property taxes can be reduced by 25, 50 or 100% based on their income and assets.
