Terrible, maddening decision. £10bn when there's supposedly no money, in a climate emergency, to fund one 14mi road network expansion in the south east. What else could that money fund nationally? Imagine putting just some of that into active travel + public transport.

If we need a “Lower Thames Crossing” to get freight to and from Dover, let’s make it a rail crossing with shuttle trains for trucks and cars. It could then by-pass not just the Thames but also the M25 with a significant reduction in both congestion and pollution. #LowerThamesCrossing #Dartford #M25
