Laurie Lee done fell in love;
She planned to marry Joe.
She was so happy 'bout it all
She told her Pappy so.

Pappy told her, "Laurie gal,
You'll have to find another.
I'd just as soon yer Ma don't know,
But Joe is yer half brother"

So Laurie put aside her Joe
And planned to marry Will.
But after telling Pappy this,
He said, "There's trouble still...

You cannot marry Will, my gal.,
And please don't tell yer Mother,
But Will and Joe and several mo'
I know is yer half brother"

But Mama knew and said, "My child,
Just do what makes you happy.
Marry Will or marry Joe.
You ain't no kin to Pappy.
Indigo nights
Just one glimpse
On those angel blue eyes
And I can’t stop my dreams
Making me dream of indigo nights
Where it’s just us two
And no one else
Such perfect little heaven
Never-ending summer nights
With stars above sea
Beach that has no one else
That perfect warm summer wind
Gentle waves in warm seawater
I want to get lost in these indigo nights
In real life
Not only in my dreams
I want the real indigo nights
Because these dreams ain’t anymore enough
I looked little bit too long into his eyes
And now I’m falling
For real
And not only in my dreams
To someone maybe I not ought to be falling for
At least according to my best friend
Because she hates him
But I don’t care
Because I just can’t forget those angel eyes
Nor the indigo nights he makes me dream about
I want those indigo nights come true
And I don’t care is it wrong or right
All I know that I can’t stop dreaming about this love

Can’t any longer resist growing hope
When I look at you
I find heaven in your eyes
This wasn’t what I planned
Because I swore I would never fall in love
Never again
Yet somehow here I am
Falling yet again
This wasn’t what I had in my mind
But I can’t any longer ignore or deny the mark we share
Is it fate or destiny?
I don’t know
Other than it freaks me out
Too big of coincide
To be ignore
Or try to pretend it means nothing
No matter how hard my head is trying to scream at my heart
It is nothing
But my heart can’t resist
The growing hope
Telling it is sign of something
Bigger than just a coincidence
Throwing words like sign, destiny, fate…
Like it’s such natural thing to do
While my head and heart
Are on a war again
And more time goes by
More hope grows
While I have no idea what any of this means
And only thing I can do
Is moving forward on this path I am on
Have faith that what’s meant to be finds its way to me

The forgotten melody
Over the years
It had slowly faded away
In the way
Even the memory about it
Had been forgotten
Lost somewhere along the years gone by
Being buried underneath
Everything
The good and the bad
Especially the bad had covered up so much
So much had been lost
And forgotten
Because all that bad
Had covered so much over those years
Buried so much good underneath
Like it never had been there
Erased even from memories
That this being forgotten
Wasn’t even surprise
Not at this point
But what I thought
Was gone forever
Apparently it wasn’t
Because here it is again
I can finally hear
The quiet return
Of a forgotten melody
That my heart is playing again
I never thought I could ever hear it again
Yet here it is
And it is all because of you
You brought back

Fixing a part

Don’t know how you did it
But you make me dream about
Summertime love
In the moonlight under the summer starry sky
Way I never thought I could dream again
Like my heart would never have been hurt
Or broken part in the past
No you make the love feel
Like falling in love at first time
And it feels so amazing
I didn’t know love could feel like this
Ever again
But you took heart that you hadn’t broken
And showed it was safe in your hands
You really did show how love should actually feel
Instead showing what should have never been called love
That I had been through in the past
More than I like to even admit
But you banished the shadows of the past
With love so pure and sweet
Swept my feet’s off the ground
With your heart of gold
That beats only for me
And made me dream of

Haunting my dreams again
And he is in my dreams again
Dream after dream after dream…
And he just keeps appearing in them all
Haunting my dreams yet again
Truthfully I rather have him
In my dreams
So vividly almost like its real
Than having yet another nightmare
Being right there in his arms again
Tracing outlines of tattoos on his arms
Being so in love
And being so loved by him
And I can’t let go of that feeling
That I get while
Being right there in his arms in these dreams
To have little bit of secret heaven
That no one knows about
It’s all mine
Even if it’s just in a dream
And won’t last long
Still for a little moment
I’m right in those arms
And being so loved
To have that moment is priceless
Even when it’s just a dream
And not real
I’m able to recall that feeling
It’s the reason why I don’t mind him haunting my dreams

my gravity begging
