I started lovage from seed this year, because reasons, and now I have four lovage plants. Where to put them? I looked online for some photos, to see how big they get.
And this is how I know I am a little over my head. The webpage I found says "...5-7 feet tall and tower over every other plant in the garden." Ah. Oops.

Using up some home made chicken stock that's been in my freezer for a while. Basically chicken noodle soup with some carrot and noodles but I had some kaffir lime leaves that I had gotten to try making Thai Green Curry and some dried Lovage so I added a lime leaf and a pinch of the lovage to the pot. They worked rather nicely together although they did overwhelm the chicken stock a bit.

A happy springtime moment: the first shoots of #lovage have emerged from their winter dormancy. The plants will be enormous in a few months, but for now they are lovely and succulent and perfect for a few more winter stews. #springtime #spring #herbs
