Watched the first three episodes of the #Daleks Master Plan back-to-back.

I enjoyed seeing #NicholasCourtney 's first on-screen appearance in #DoctorWho. Unfortunately Bret Vyon's story arc remains incomplete — the character dies in still-missing episode 4.

#SpecialEffects and model shots were pretty good for the 1960s but not referenced at all in the end credits.

Excerpt: "A cardboard box found in a collector's 'ramshackle' collection of vintage films contained two episodes of Doctor Who that have not been viewed since airing in the 1960s.

"The episodes feature the first incarnation of the Doctor, played by #WilliamHartnell, tackling a #Dalek plan to take over Earth, the solar system and the galaxy in a storyline only ever shown in the UK.

"#PeterPurves, who played the Doctor's assistant Steven Taylor, was invited to the Phoenix Cinema in Leicester on Wednesday under false pretenses to view the two episodes, and he said: 'My flabber has never been so gasted.'

"Restored versions of the episodes will be released on BBC iPlayer this Easter."

Found a great info graphic on Reddit showing the status of the Doctor Who lost episode restorations. It’s out of date, as the Smugglers has been animated since then.

I haven’t been able to track down an announcement of which they are working on next, only that they want to start working on more than one in parallel.

I’m a little surprised the Crusade hasn’t been knocked out yet. It’s the only one with 2 or fewer missing episodes left.
